Presented every year by the Mystery Writers of America, the Edgar Allan Poe Awards–more popularly referred to simply as the Edgars–are rewarded to mystery writers from across America. The MWA is wholly dedicated to mystery and crime writing, and the Edgars are widely regarded as one of the most prestigious awards a mystery writer could receive during their career.
This Edgar features a blue collar and a blank nameplate, intended for inscription of the author’s name and year they receive the award. He measures approximately 9” H on a 4” x 4” base. The bottom felt bumper of the statue is missing and while there are some signs of wear consistent with age, this statue remains in excellent condition and has no major chips, cracks, or missing pieces otherwise.
