Article number: P72
Availability: In stock (1)

Mid-Century Modern lovers rejoice…this beautiful Kurt Ostervig style shelf has just landed at Remix! This freestanding modular shelf houses five separate layers for storage–four of which–completely adjustable. The teak wood design stands 71” high, 40” wide, and the largest of the shelves is 17” deep. The most unique feature of this shelf is that it is adjustable! Each shelf can be removed and replaced with just a flathead screwdriver.

Ostervig was an extremely popular mid-century Danish designer famous for his inventive usage of materials like wood and leather. Unlike his design contemporaries, he much preferred clean, angular visual lines, often relying on the grain of wood or patina of leather to lend shapes to his creations. Some of his most famous designs include rosewood nesting tables and storage units that function as room dividers (just like this shelf)!

There is a metal emblem on the bottom of the lowest shelf that reads, “Made in Denmark for international designers group”.
